The Mind and the Body. The rational and the functional.
Long time ago, I embarked on a relentless quest to forge harmony between these two entities, dedicating myself to their union with unwavering perseverance. The mind leads the body and the the body preserves the mind. In other words, the mind is the captain and the body is the fortress. For years, I pursuit the bridging of this gap, striving for excellence with unwavering determination.

On some days, I approached life with utmost dedication, demanding 100% of my capabilities and attempting for balance in every performance. But, truth be told, such days were rare, as most of the time, I could only muster 85%, 60%, or even just 15% of my full potential.
Then there were the days when my efforts would decrease to a complete standstill, reaching a disheartening 0%. I used to label those days as bad, as I was doing nothing to improve myself or my surroundings. The loathing I held for such days was profound. Consistency is the key, we hear all over the place. When I found myself unable to maintain that consistency, I mercilessly branded myself a failure, not deserving to achieve anything. I failed to realize that those days of apparent inactivity were an essential opportunity for rejuvenation and renewal, granting me the chance to rise once again.

And so I’ve discovered the Soul. The spirit.
The spirit within us holds incredible strength, waiting also to be harnessed. While the mind and body are essential components of our being, the spirit represents the deeper essence of who we are. In stillness, the spirit finds solace, breathes, and rejuvenates. Embracing stillness without guilt or labeling it as laziness was vital for my overall well-being.

Life is more than a constant pursuit of productivity. So I forgave myself for unfinished books, skipped gym, unstarted courses, and many more. Without realizing, I’ve transformed my life a big To-Do list, and I lost sight of pure existence. Forgot to just be. Just to stand still, breathing the air and admiring the view.
The mind is the captain and the body is the fortress. And the soul is their guiding light.
